IOU (E-Yo) Sushi Restaurant

IOU Sushi is a fantastic new all you can eat sushi restaurant in Boise located at the intersection of Fairview Avenue and Milwaukie Street across from the Shopko Plaza. If you are wondering what IOU means here is your answer. IOU is pronounced "e-yo" which means "delicious, tasty and sweet" in the Pohnpeian language. Pohnpeian language? Yes, the owner of IOU Sushi was born and raised in Pohnpei, a very small island located in the South Pacific. Pohnpei is part of the Federated States of Micronesia. The owner is a sushi fanatic who now lives in Boise and has another IOU Sushi planned for Nampa.

The owner brought several local Pohnpeian's to work with him. Steve, Trusty and June are just a few of the amiable, always smiling and knowledgeable IOU sushi making chef's of IOU Sushi. Steve worked at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas making sushi and all have excellent culinary backgrounds. Their combined knowledge of seafood and oriental ingredients lends itself perfectly to the product combinations, colorful presentations and sushi recommendations to the sushi seeking customer. IOU's (E-Yo's) sushi selection is second to none. The huge menu includes lunch entrees, Nigiri-Sushi, Tamaki-Sushi, Maki-Sushi, dinner entrees and several specialty rolls that are available only for dinner.

A particular popular favorite is the Seared Ahi with Cracked Pepper and garnished with Crispy Onions and served with a fantastic Ponzu Sauce. The Ponzu sauce is made by Steve and is a flavorful combination that blends together the taste sensations of the South Pacific and the Orient. This selection not only tastes great but is beautifully presented. Another very popular offering is the Spicy Sexy Ahi Roll. The flavorful taste combinations and presentation of this dish is beyond terrific! You've got to try this one.

Rocky, Steve and Trusty order their fresh seafood, beef, poultry and sushi supplies from Tri-City Meats. Their salesman, Jesse Reeder, is "knowledgable, personable and makes it happen". Steve likes the wide variety of quality fresh seafood that Tri-City Meats offers and the ability to get nearly any type of specialty product on a moments notice and at a very competitive price.
